    How about one that supports pure BLDC algorithms?  No leg currents needed, just an I total. Keep the Vph for Bemf zero cross detection. Have a hall connection through the Booster?  Could aim it at primarily an MSP430 LaunchPad.

    How about some with your smart motor drivers, the DRV88x or DRV1xx, where the LaunchPad is just used for normal host/system functionality and sends a step/speed command to the boosterpack?  Would be great for MSP430 or TIVA LaunchPads.
