Hi team,

First I'm sorry for my poor Chinese English!

I'm looking for the DRV8412GUIv6.exe for the DRV8412-C2-KIT,because the DRV8412GUIv2.exe and DRV8412GUIv9.exe at hand can't work properly,double click the DRV8412GUIv9.exe and the KIT can be connected to PC,but the DC Bus led is not lighted,I don't know why.

configure the hardware as the guide,"Once the power is connected the board will power up and you will see that the LED1, LED2 and LED3 on the DRV8412EVM base board are green (indicating power), LD1 on the controlCARD is green (also indicating power) and LD3 (Red) on the controlCARD isblinking slowly indicating that code is running",this is true.But when connected to PC with the DRV8412GUIv9.exe，Fault Status and Driver Over-Temperature Warning are green,the DC Bus is gray,and the motor does not work.

And I want know the software in the KIT is for the DC moter or the stepper motor?How to connect the DC motor in the KIT to the board?

Here are the KIT and the DRV8412GUIv9.exe,the DC Bus is gray.

Hi Carter

This should be because of the unmatched firmware with the GUI version.

I think you can reflash your control card firmware with "DRV8412GUIv9.out". Then, use "DRV8412GUIv9.exe" to run.

About how to reflash the firmware, you can refer to "CCSv4HowToFlashcontrolCARDS.txt".

power board, connect USB JTAG, launch CCSv4
-----
delete all other projects (right click, delete)
---
view -> targets -> user defined
make sure xds100-f28035[default]
make sure no targets under projects folder
---
launch debug (green bug)
connect target
target -> load program 2xPM_Motors.out
------
terminate all
controlCARD is now flashed
-----
power cycle before connecting GUI

------------------------------------------

It should be almost the same in CCS5. Both steppr and DC motor control are supported by this EVM.

Hi Carter,

Have you fully install ControlSUITE? it is in your folder like below.

C:\ti\controlSUITE\development_kits\DRV8412-C2-KIT_v131\~GUI

I also attached one. but still recommend you to have controlSUITE installed in your computer.4477.DRV8412GUIv9.zip
