DRV8813 REVISED 2013

Hi members.
THis  is   Ben .   from japan.

New  datasheet   was added a  pullup/down  resistance  included  in  the  DECAY signal. DECAY-signal .

Please  let   question.

Q1:     Can I  use  an   FET  circuit  to  the  outside   DECAY-signal  control(fast ,  slow ,  mix) ?

Q2:     DECAY-signals MIX  mode   will shows   0.9~1.9V?

Because Low mode is 0.8V or less,   and     High mode  is   2V  or  more.

Q3:     Can  I  put  it  close  to  the DECAY pin  for   noise rejection  ,  Capacitor   about 0.1μf ?

Best  Regard.         BEN  .

  • Hi Ben,

I'm not quite sure what you're referring to.  The DECAY pin was specified in the same way to have an internal pull-up and pull-down in the May 2011 datasheet rev.

    1. Yes, as long as the DECAY pin sees a VIH, VIL, or high-Z floating, then you may be able to use a FET circuit to control that.

    2. Yes, the DECAY pin floating voltage should be between 0.8V to 2V.

    3. Yes, using a capacitor on this pin would help reject noise.  If you're designing a board, you could at least put a No-Install capacitor there, and have the option to add it if necessary.

    Best regards,
    RE

  • Hi  RE-san

    Thank  you  for  follow-up  reply.

Data Sheet customers had is the initial version,
Engineer seems to have noticed the web check order to consider in
the next model development time.  sorry.

It was very helpful to answer that I had.

    Best regard
