Asking for technical documents of TMDSHVMTRPFCKIT

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CONTROLSUITE, MOTORWARE

Hello everyone,

I'm learning the kit(TMDSHVMTRPFCKIT). I almost read all the relative documents, application notes from controlsuite and TI community. But I can't find this kind of documents they can tell me the relative control theory, the system concept, the associated hardware and software design.

I find this kind of documents from other suppliers. Could you offer me the documents based on TMDSHVMTRPFCKIT or TI C2000 controller.

    Thanks very much!

  • Jia,

You can refer to 2010-TIC2000-MotorControl-Workshop-Presentation in LVmultiaxis foler in control-suite (rolSUITE\development_kits\LVMultiAxis+PfcKit_v1.4\~Docs) , this gives good background for motor control theory with resepect to C2000 mcu.

You may also like to visit http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/TMS320C2000_Motor_Control_Primer  This site gives further details of concept of incremental and other concept used for various motor control projects.

  • Hi Milan,

Thanks for you reply. These two documents you recommended are good. But I want to learn somethingelse, such as development detail. For example, what is the relationship between PWM output and AD sample,  what will happen if  I change the current sensing resistor from low-side to high-side, and so on.  Am I excessive?  :)

Hope you will have a wonderful weekend.

  • Eli,

Well I think you are looking for details on hardware development. Recently we have launched Insta-spin FOC and Motion solution with HV+pfc kit in motor-ware format.

    You can download TMS320F2802xF/F2806xF/M InstaSPIN-FOC/MOTION User's Guide at http://www.ti.com/tool/motorware .

This guide covers quite extensive details on hardware set-up for ADC sampling and PWM generation, current measurements using shunts typically used in motor control project environments. I hope in this guide you will find most of the answer for your question.

For any specific questions, e2e forum is always there to help.

  • Hi Milan,

I just  skim through the file you mentioned. I think they will be very helpful to me. Thanks very much!
