DRV8301 and power regeneration question

I am using a  DRV8301-HC-C2-KIT which is connected to a 14-pole pmsm motor on an electric vehicle project. The motor specs are:  42V nominal, 60A (continuous) and i would like to connect the DRV kit with super capacitors so they can be charged when the vehicle is  breaking. I would like to ask if this is even possible with that kit because i have not seen anything relevant in the forums or the Control Suite. If not, what TI product would you suggest in order to do this exact job, driving the motor and be able to store the energy back from the motor to the super caps?

    Yes it may be possible to use DRV8301-HC-c2 kit to charge the super caps during motor breaking but it would not be straight forward task. You will have to take proper precaution at system level to make sure DC bus voltage does not go higher than maximum voltage limit of kit. The DC over-voltage depends upon your load power, speed, torques, inertia and deceleration time. You will have to control deceleration rate through software such that DC-bus remains within required limits.
