DRV2605 Real Time Playback Functionality

I am currently having some difficulties in using the Real Time Playback functionality of your DRV2605 Haptics Driver IC as used in Precision Microdrives' Haptic Feedback Evaluation Kit to control their LRA with a waveform I generate in real time over I2C. I have already contacted Precision Microdrives and they have told me to contact the engineers at TI for further assistance. Do you have any example code that illustrates the RTP functionality of the DRV2605? I haven't had any luck trying to write my own library using the 1 paragraph description in the DRV2605 datasheet.

DRV2605 RTP mode is pretty simple.

properly set the smart loop
set the data_format

Hi Kyle,

Just to add to Peter's comments:

Make sure to set the part to RTP mode and setup the control registers for the appropriate actuator. Once everything is set then apply a 8-bit 2's complement number to the RTP register. If the number is negative, then the DRV2605 will try to brake, which may be why you do not see any output.
