Is it possible to estimate temperature of the coil from the change in resistance of the stator winding of the motor ?
If it is possible, NTC is not needed.

Hi Bradley
It is possible. Genarally the R will increase with the temperature raising. But we need to figure out several things which are not so easy.
First we may need a way to get the R parameter in real time during the operation.
And we also need ways of the control firmware to adapt the calibrating process of different motor and different R, unless you have only one kind of motor with great constant parameters to drive, then you do it off line and programmed in a table.
Need thinking of the compensation to anther cause of the R change, such as the connector impact.
Maybe there are still more things to be considered.
Thanks.
