Hi,
In my previous post i attach my pcb layout using the Cadnece Orcad PCB layout program version 16.6.
in the lower right hand side I completed the parts placement and routing for the TI DRV8432DKD.
My question is it ok this layout and routing? I try to follow the EVM pcb example but I change the way I route the traces for the outputs of this device.
thanks,
-Steve
here are the electrical schematics for the previous post.

Hi Steve
We are not able to import the .brd file. Could you provide a PDF version?
Thanks.
Hi Wilson,
the pdf it produces is of very poor resolution.
what pcb layout program do you use so i could help to convert for your use?
what if i export my design into a .dxf file for you?
-Steve
Hi Steve
Ok. Let's try. I do see that my Altium designer 10 has the import options for both .brd and .dxf. But previous importing of .brd was failed.
Thanks.
Wilson,
i send to you instead some basic screen shots for your review.
the dxf files also were not giving me the level of detail that I wanted for this discussion.
can you tell me what you think of these screen shots?
-Steve
Hi Steve
Not so easy to catch on the pictures. Here are some comments from what I seen.
For schematic, what are the loads? motor or TEC or other things?
Because if motor is driven, we don't need to have the C340,342,344,346.
Also I don't see the big bulk cap nearing PVDD_x, that is a must be with better 470u+.
For the layout, if I catched right, I find the PVDD_B and PVDD_C are just connected to bus line with two small vias. I think that is not matching your design since other power lines look much more strong.
Thanks
Wilson,
the loads are a variety of motors and pistons in a range of 0.5Amp , 3Amp and 6Amps.
yes the C340 etc. dc output caps only placed when i drive pistons and not motors.
i will place the big bulk cap for PVDD and resend screen shots for your review. I also enlarge the PVDD_B,C plane and add more vias as you recommend.
you are saying that this PVDD cap must be larger than 470uf??
