I am look for some assistance in selecting a piezo actuator. I would like to add some feedback to a wearable device. I am thinking about using the DRV2665, I need low power. The device is light weight and I just need enough vibration for a gentle vibration on the skin. A small form factor in desired.

Is there a list of recommended actuators? Any actuators that have worked well for a similar situation?

Is there a difference between buzz element piezo from a touch piezo?

Great! The DRV2665 or DRV2667 are the best devices for Piezo actuators; however, for ultra-low power devices like a wearable device this may draw too much instantaneous current.

Samsung Electro-Mechanics also has a selection of Piezo actuators.
Other sources can be found just by doing a quick online search.

I would also consider looking at the DRV2605 with an linear resonant actuator. Samsung Electro Mechanical is working on a few actuators intended for wearable devices.
