DRV2604L / condition of auto calibration

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV2604L
Hello,

I would like to know the condition of auto calibration of DRV2604L.
I think that we should lock the final assembly product when auto calibration.
Can we calibrate it at the state of putting in the desk ?
Or, are there other recommended condition for auto calibration ?

Best Regards,

  • Ryuji-san,

Are you using AutoCalibration settings? Or did you change the settings after the AutoCAL estimate?

Ideally it should be done after actuator is assembled on the end product and all the parts are attached as, the mechanical structure will change the dynamics of the calibration values. So just before the product is put inside a box will be good.

Another option is to run AutoCAL at startup of the product at the end user side.

  • Hello Gautham san,

    Thank you for the reply.
We didn't use the autocalibration yet.
I would like to know this information for next model of our customer.

If the actuator and other parts are assenbled on the end products, can we start the autocalibration without any condition ?(for example, end product is put on the sponge or put on the desk etc.)

  • Ryuji-san,

    Good question.

We we use a silicone based material in our lab to do most of our testing. It is very cheap and the properties of the material matches the response that of a skin very closely. This would be an ideal environment to do an AutoCAL.

I will send you  some details in a private message :)
