I am looking for the DRV8833C CAD Symbol and Footprint. If I could get the BXL file, that would be helpful.

    Hi Imran,

    I am sorry we don't have those yet. They are being created and should be available in a few weeks.

    If you are using the PWP package, the DRV8833 is available, which is the same as the DRV8833C.

    Are the QFN packages the same between the DRV8833 and the DRV8833C?

    Hi Imran,

    Unfortunately, no the two packages are not a match. I have requested a CAE/CAE symbol be created but it may take a few weeks.

    There are a couple of options available.

    One is to create your own, which introduces risk.

    A second, less riskier path is to use a footprint from a similar device. Go to the link CAD/CAE Symbols type in _rte_16 in the search window and select submit. There are more than 30 devices using the RTE footprint. Any of these can be used as a starting point until the DRV8833C symbol and footprint are created.

    Please note that some of these may not have the thermal vias. If you find one that does not have the vias, either add them or locate a footprint that contains the vias.
