DRV102 kills the AO port driving pin 1 (In)

Hei,

I am using a DRV102 chip to drive a 24V pilot solenoid valve. The driver is connected to a 0-60V power supply.

I control the driver with a National Instruments LabView test set-up. The DRV's pin 1 (In) is connected directly to a LabView analog +/- 10V output card (NI9263). My issue is that while a have made test where the valve have been switches on an off 500 times in a row with without any problems, I have now burned two of my NI ports in other tests using the same set-up. This equipment is normally very robust as it is made for testing, and from what I can see from the DRV's datasheet there should be no problem connecting directly to a AO output from a e.g. DSP, microprocessor without isoloating these or using other measures to protect the gate from harmful current or voltages. But it just happends to kill my AO gates. I use Schottley 200V Rectifiers in the set-up.

Should I protect my gates or is there a common mistake I have made than can cause the In port to deliver harmful outputs? What way should I protect the gates if this is needed? I have connected it in they way shown below.

M
