DRV8825 EMI odd condition

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8825

Hello,

While using the DRV8825 I have encountered the 30khz PWM internal current when taking an EMI Test. This drastically affects the results of the test. I wanted to know if at Vm there is any way to reduce this (what kind of filter) or get rid of this from an EMI perspective?

Thank you.

  • Hi Jorge

I have seen customer use LC filter right after the OUTx to reduce the EMI problem. The LC parameters need to be determinded by EMI test.
Also, ferrite beads or RC snubber circuit could be used to lower the EMI.

Note that when use any capacitance load adding to lower the EMI issue, we should keep the cap value smaller enough to avoid OCP issue.

    Best regards,
