DRV8802 EVM USB PORT CONNECTION FAILED

Hi,

I have the DRV88XX EVM and installed the usb driver as the file said. But when I open the application .exe, the port is invalid. I checked the seeting menue, all the ports form 1 to 4 are gray. How to solve it? Thanks.

Hi Janet

Have you tried different USB ports on your computer?
Also you should see the status LED on the EVM flashing if the EVM is correctly powered.
If the USB driver is stalled correctly, you can also check if the COM1 to COM4 are occupied in your windows system. If yes, actually you can force any of the COM1to4 be assigned to the USBtoUART interface which you can find in your system, just ignore all the warnings when you force it.
