Hello

I am designing a demonstration kit for stepper motor using DRV8825 driver IC, I have a doubt regarding the Rsense resistor connected with xISEN pins, is it a current sensing resistor or a normal 1/4 watt chip resistor (PKG 0805)?

Hi Arhez,

Just make sure the power rating of the resistor > I*I*R. "I" is the RMS value of your current. You can just use the setting level (MAX) as the "I" to get some margin. A current sensing resistor would be better for long term stability. But normal chip resistor with 1% accuracy will be fine as well.
