Why STEP/DIR and PWM Control Interface for DC Motor shown optional in the DRV8711 datasheet features?

Can we control DC motor and Stepper Motor using SPI interface only?

Hi Ritesh

STEP and DIR pins are only for stepper control using onchip index. Also we can use SPI interface to send the STEP and DIR conmands.

In PWM DC motor mode, we can only use IN/IN interface.
