Which one is the test pin ? I have the following pinout for the DRV2603 :

PWM (pin 2) Input signal
EN (pin 1) Device enable
LRA/ERM (pin 3) Mode selection
GND (pins 5, 8, 10) Supply ground
NC (pin 4) No Connection
OUT– (pin 6) Negative haptic driver differential output
OUT+ (pin 9) Positive haptic driver differential output
VDD (pin 7) Supply Input (2.5 V to 5.5 V)

Oops meant to "test" as in re-test. Please connect GND to PWM, EN, LRA/ERM, NC pins.

I already had PWM, EN and LRA/ERM set to low. Just checked again with an oscilloscope.

Connecting the NC pin to GND doesn't change anything.

Could you please share the schematic and the board layout of your setup? Also do you have the VDD capacitor still connected?

Could you disconnect the capacitor? That still doesn't seem to account for the 1.5mA. Is there anything else on the VCC line? Pullup resistors?

Yes also tried disconnecting C19 and R20. I always measure 1.5-1.6mA when the DRV2603 part is populated, even with all inputs set low. Once I remove the part, the board current drops to a couple of microamps.
