Dear Sirs,
I have some questions.
There are following in the data sheet.(8.3.4 nSLEEP Operation)
This resistor limits the
current to the input in case VM is higher than 6.5 V. Internally, the nSLEEP pin has a 500-kΩ resistor to GND. It
also has a clamping Zener diode that clamps the voltage at the pin at 6.5 V. Currents greater than 250 μA can
cause damage to the input structure. Hence the recommended pullup resistor would be between 20 kΩ and
75 kΩ.
To summarize this easier,
1. nSLEEP pin has a 500-kΩ resistor to GND.
2. nSLEEP pin has a clamping Zener diode (6.5V) to GND.
3. Currents greater than 250 μA can cause damage to the input structure.
4. recommended pullup resistor would be between 20 kΩ and 75 kΩ.
Question1 : Why is 20kΩ ~ 75kΩ is Pullup resistance under the conditions of internal Pulldown resistance of 500kΩ?
Is it possible to lower the voltage in this setting?
Question2 : Also, what to what relationship specs that current if the value of ZenerDiode applies a condition of 6.5V does not exceed the 250μA?
What is the reason that over the limit of this current?
Best Regards,
