Hi

My customer is using DRV8301.
He want to use pull-down resistor between GH_x pin and FETGATE.
This pull-down resistor is for line-to-ground fault.

When trickle charge is used (100% On duty), How much resistor does it use?

Hi Shimizu,

It is better without the pull down resistors for both low side and high side MOS GS, since the trickle charge can only handle ~uA level current.
Just for your reference, I have seen customer using 100k or higher.

Hi Shimizu,

In addition to what Wilson said, the DRV8301 also has internal 2kOhm GH and GL pull down resistors that are enabled when EN_GATE is LOW or the device is in a latched FAULT condition.

When PVDD1 is disable(At user system powerdown), Is the pull-down resistor of 2k-ohm connected to gate output line?

Yes, when PVDD1 drops below the PVDD_UV level the 2kOhm resistor will enable.
