How to set up DRV2605 for real-time PWM input with an ERM motor?

I've purchased the DRV2605 driver to use it in a haptic project.

I am working on my own simple library to run it from a microcontroler. I've read the datasheet, but unfortunately I could not completely figure out what exact set up I need for the driver to use it with real-time PWM input with an ERM motor.

Could you please provide the settings I have to make to get this set up to work?

Sorry if my question is too fundamental, but I have little experience with setting up hardware like this.

Hi, Jonathan:

DRV2605 can work in ERM mode without any PWM input.

are you sure the PWM input is a necessary?

Dear Li, thank you for your reply.

I am working on a touchscreen display in which the finger input defines the vibration in real time.
Would this be possible using PWM? If yes, what would be the set up instructions on the DRV2605 to recieve the PWM output from my microcontroller?
