DRV10983 Driver with BLDC motor

If we feed wrong parameter to DRV then motor will not run properly or efficiently.

My question is what kind of parameter of BLDC motor may change after some year and what will be its effect on its performance?

    Hi Vijay,

    DRV10983 needs motor parameters for back emf estimation and commutation of motor. Parameter variation differs from one motor manufacturer to other. It is generally specified in motor datasheet; there is no standard for parameter variation over its lifetime. DRV10983 doesn’t measure motor parameters, hence it relies on user input. If expected variation in motor parameters is very large, then it might have effect on performance
