Our customer is considering to use the DRV10975. We had a question from them the mechanism of DRV10975 how FG signal is generated inside the device. Could you please tell us the detail mechanism ? It would be helpful if there is any document or material which describes in specific, other than the datasheet.

Kawai-san,

The FG comes from drive voltage waveform, whenever driver voltage is stepping through the certain angle, device will toggle the FG.
When motor is spinning the drive voltage is the same frequency as the BEMF. FG signal does not indicate certain angle of BEMF.
