Hello,

Actually, I want to apply field oriented control method to control a PMSM BLAC motor.

I want to use an ARM based controller that is programmable with Simulink.

So first I have to choose a suitable motor for this task, and then recommend which ARM based controller is suitable.

Would somebody recommend a suitable type for buying ?

Hi,

I suggest you start with a motor manufacturer first. They should be able to help you pick a motor that fits your desired voltage, current, speed requirements.

this ARM Cortex R4 based kit does encoder based FOC using one of the motors from 2MTR-DYNO

this ARM family has some level of Simulink support. Please see the "Hercules / TMS570" forum for support.

and if you want, using the same kit you can also try out InstaSPIN-FOC and InstaSPIN-MOTION on our proprietary C28x CPU using plug in controlcard TMDSCNCD8069MISO

in the RM48 kit can the RM48 controller card easily be replaced later by TMS570 card ?

Does this kit have everything that is needed ? power stage seems to be there but what about controller card and M-2310 ...
