Hello,

Customer have two questions about drv8308

1. Per register 0x00 15:12 bit for Autogain Setpoint, how do we setup this parameters maybe 12 Hz, 3KHZ, 6KHZ....etc? Has any doc or equation to setup it by customer motor spec. and application?

2. For Clock Frequency Mode, if customer motor spin is 1500 rpm. They enable this mode and CLKIN input 1500 HZ to this pin to get 1500 rpm motor speed, right? if not, how to calculate between motor speed and CLKIN? Thank you.

Hi Patrick,

1. Autogain Set point can use a range start from the full target speed of your motor first. In fine tuning stage, you can check if there is a better effect using the nearby range smaller or bigger.

2. Clock Frequency is supposed to sync the FG output based on your FG selection.
If FG = Hall U, Clock = FG = RPM/60*Pole_Pairs.
If FG = XOR Hall, Clock = FG = 3*RPM/60*Pole_Pairs.
