some Serious problem for drv8812

Hi Power,

Can you provide more information?
What are the specifications of the stepper motor (R/I/V/L)?
How are you controlling the inputs?

The schematic shown does not limit current in the motor. As a result, you may be experiencing overcurrent events.


Please consider:
1) Using the DRV8812EVM for reference material. The schematics are available on line.
2) adding a pullup resistor to monitor the nFAULT signal. This will allow you to determine if the device is operating properly
3) adding sense resistors and adjusting VREF to limit the current.

I Known DRV8812EVM DAC mode to drive drive Stepper motor but in my sch I use PWM mode to to drive Stepper motor. I found if pin23 20 input fixed PWM （Frequency any period are all not change ）but out put pin have same uncertain 1-2us timer delay with input. How it happen, i test other drive like drv8841 input wave and output wave are same not delay

Hi Power,

The input of the DRV8812 is sampled using the internal clock. This can cause the input to output delay to vary by one internal clock cycle.

Now what can i do for my code (how to change code like PWM frequency or any thing)to make better effect, to ensure that the Stepper motor not Slight Shake when it stop , our company make so many main board use this mode
