DRV8835: Output Dead Time Specification

Hi TI,

The DRV8835 Data Sheet specifies a nominal Output Dead Time (tDEAD) of 100ns (on page 5).

Can you please confirm this is the delay between turning off the active MOSFET in a H-Bridge and turning on the inactive MOSFET of the same bridge (to avoid both MOSFET's being turned on at the same time)?

Could you also please confirm the expected variation of this parameter (e.g. +/- 50ns)?

Hi Colin,

Yes the output dead time is the time between turning off the active MOSFET and turning on the inactive MOSFET in the same half bridge.

Are you asking for the typical variation? It may take some time to gather that data.
