Hi all,

My customers survey motor driver request application in IP Cam zoom in/out

Driver Request:
Step motor driver spec
Logic Supply Voltage:    DC 3.3V
Motor Supply Voltage:    DC12V and DC32V+-15%
Motor current:    500mA
Microstepping:    Full~1/4
Operating ambient temperature     –40 85°C

Please let me know DRV8811 and DRV8812 are suitable this case, if can't, please advise, thanks

Hi Kuo,

DRV8846 and DRV8880 or DRV8885 could be better.

Note DRV8846 best for 12V
DRV8880 best for auto-tune feature.
DRV8885 best for without current sense resistor.

Could you let me know what situation we can use AutoTune function?
if we use AutoTune function, RSENCE suggest how to design? thanks.

Totally agree with Rick that we can enable auto tune all the time which acting better than manual decay adjustment mostly.

For the Rsense setting, please set the RMS current level the same as the motor spec.
