  • Hi Davide,

We will investigate and reply soon. Did you also see a Details button? If so, please capture the details and attach them.
  • Thank you very much for the answer. I have intalled a css v6 with last GUI composer and for now I'm able to use DVR8846 gui interface.
May I ask you a question about what is the best choise for this type of work? I have to apply a stepper motor to a potentiometer, I'd want that my system understands the stall conditions, to avoid potentiometer's break. I have seen DRV8711 but it seems to have a very high BOM (I have to control up to 10 motors).
Which solutions you councile to me?
I don't know if it is the right place in which making this question.

    Thank you in advance,
    Davide
  • Hi Davide,

I am glad to hear you have the GUI working. If you are trying to detect stall conditions, the DRV8711 has the ability to do so.

An alternative is using a limit switch (hall or optical sensor, or mechanical switch). This is used in 3D printers ( www.ti.com/.../TIDA-00405 ) to detect the home position. The motor can move to home upon power up and be set to a maximum number of steps.
