DRV2700EVM and Piezo Control Console error

I'm trying to evaluate the DRV2700EVM, and running Piezo Control Console version 1.2.9.0. Piezo Control Console sees the USB EVM, I click the "connect" button, but when I click "console", I get the following error popup:

I'm running Win7 Pro SP1. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing PCC, to no avail. Anyone have any ideas?

we also develop this Piezo Control Console based on Win7 SP1.

the problem you see may be a software bug.

Can you please update the EVM firmware first?

there is the latest DRV2700EVM firmware inside the Piezo Control Console install directory.

Updating the firmware on the EVM using the DRV2700EVM_v1p7.txt file in the EVMFirmwareUpdater folder did the trick, and it's now working. I might be nice if TI could ship these with working firmware in the first place...
