Problem with DRV8332

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8332

Sir, I am using DRV8332 in my project to control Maxon BLDC motors.

I have prepared a hand soldered circuit as mentioned in the datasheet. But the OTW, FAULT,Vref pins are coming low.

when no pull up resistors are added between the OTW/fault, the voltages are <1 V. when pull up resistor of value 4.7k each is connected to pull these pins to 5 V, the voltages are 4.4 and 3.8 V respectively. But it should be in the range 4.5 V to 5 V for considering a high logic!

  • Hi Ankit,

Did you mean VREG instead of Vref? The voltage on VREG should be approximately 3.3V when VDD is above 10V.

What do you mean by "coming low"? Do the signals start high and then go low? If so, please determine what is causing this? Usually, it is due to GVDD or VDD collapsing.

The voltage on OTW and FAULT are considered a logic high. Most 5V systems consider >2V as a logic high.
