Looking for a quadrature input position controller.

I am driving a piezo motor. Its’ driver uses step and direction inputs. The motor has a quadrature encoder that provides position feedback and one index signal provides the home sense position. I am looking for a simple controller with a USB interface that will provide position control using the encoder quadrature signals as feedback and step and direction as outputs to move the piezo motor. Can anyone point me to a reference design that would apply?

    Hi Fred,

    By controller, are you looking for a mcu like the MSP430 with USB interface or some type of piezo controller with a USB interface?

    If the former, the post can be moved to the MSP430 forum. If the latter, it appears there may be nothing available.
