IC solenoid vale driver recommendation

TI,

Could you pls recommend driver to drive below solenoid

- solenoid voltage operating: 6V DC( use battery as power source)

- application: water control on/off

- soliniold type: latching solenoid vale NC

We have MSP430 provide input to drive this solenoid valve so we are finding driver which can have minimize power consumption to long battery life.

    Hi NT,

    Whether you want to drive the solenoid with a full bridge other than a low side driver? By full bridge, it can drive in two direction or quickly decay the current on the solenoid. You can look at DRV8837/ DRV8839 which are well fit for battery use.

    Hi Wilson,

    Thanks, since power consumption is our key concern, so by driving H bridge compare to low side drive, which one is the best solution? in our current design used low side drive, if H bridge drive has more benifit to drive latching solenoild valve, we will consider too.
