How to modify GUI from DRV8880EVM reference code?

I installed DRV8880EVM and tested all by changing parameters.

As I understand, this DRV8880EVM application uses "DRV8880EVM_v1p1.out" in target directory to upload FW to F2617 target device on uploding every power up.

Is it right?

How to modify the GUI application for PC side? Should I use GUI composer?

I tried but it says

"Problem accessing /gc/webapp1/DRV8880EVM/app.html. Reason: Not Found "


I think this GUI application is not compatible to GUI composer tool..

Is there any way to modify the GUI code?
Is there any way to upload FW to target after compile the FW source?

For the FW, I used JTAG I/F and could do it. Only GUI is left.

Hi DC,

The firmware is loaded into the MSP430F2617 prior to shipping the EVM. It is only loaded once.

The GUI was developed using GUI Composer 2, and uses GUI Composer 2 runtime to execute.

Why do you want to modify the GUI code? What do you want to change?

Hi Rick,

Regarding the modify reason, I would like to check to handle specific path scenario smoothly without vibration.

To do that, I need to modify min starting speed and PPS profile.

Now I can compile F/W and download. But I would like to make new GUI to generate specific PPS profile with J-Tag and COM port.

I need some information as bellow.

- configuration settings in CCS to use serial monitor

- MSP-FET JTAG for debugging

I think Application in CCS has problem to communicate with monitor program in target CPU.
