Hi Experts:

My customer used drv2605 in their new project, could you please check the drv2605 part of the schematic I enclosed?

Additionally , how to shorten the start-up and braking time of the motor?DRV2605.pdf

Hi, Jason:

the schematic looks good.
to fasten the response time of the actuator, we need to use over drive and brake feature of TI smart loop archtecture.
but this is actuator specific, such as the peak voltage which the actuator can endure in a short time...

Do you mean the drive and brake is processed by the device internally ,which can't be accessed by the user ?

Jason,
You can set the overdrive voltage (OD_CLAMP) and braking factor using their respective registers. The part will overdrive until the motor reaches full acceleration based on auto-calibration. The braking will brake until the motor comes to a rest. The motors have physical limitations to how fast they start and stop.
