[ DRV2605L ] Opeartion with Haptics Control Console

Hi,

I think that I have found an error? on Haptics Control Console more specifically DRV2605L console.
In "Work Mode" setting, it seems that "External Edge Trigger" and "External Level Trigger" are swapped respectively.

I have tested DRV2605LEVM-MD with Haptics Control Console with DRV2605L console as following procedure.
(Not with DRV2605LEVM-MD console)

* Plug in -MD board to USB port
* Select target DRV2605L with B1 button (ex. OUT6 for LRA)
* Press "USB SW" button
* Open Haptics Control Console and DRV2605L console

In this set up, when I selected "External Edge Trigger" and apply DC voltage to PWM test point, DRV2605L attempts to keep LRA accelerating with selected library. On the other hand, if I chose "External Level Trigger", even though I apply DC voltage, DRV2605L play pattern only one time.

Can you please double check on your side and give me a feedback?

Hi, Ken:

DRV2605L console is not supposed to work with DRV2605LEVM-MD board.

we only validate the DRV2605LEVM-MD console with the DRV2605LEVM-MD board.

i have checked the exernal trigger for DRV2605L console. it is right.

why don't use DRV2605LEVM-MD console for DRV2605LEVM-MD board?

Hi Peter,

Thank you for your reply. That's because I want to configure my DRV2605LEVM-MD board in external trigger mode (either Edge or Level) with simple way...No settings for external trigger mode on -MD console, correct?

Hi, Ken:

we can easily achieve this by register write.

we can set the correct registers with "import register setting".

Hi Peter,

Thank you for your advice.
I was something wrong and totally missed out that feature.

I used Read and Write box to change operational mode to external trigger then applied external voltage in PWM pin on DRV2605LEVM-MD board. It did work.
I have not tried import register setting, but should work...
