DRV2604L Overcurrent detection

Hello,

so I am trying to run a LRA with a waveform sequencer saved to the RAM memory, but when I check the Status register (0x00), the reading is C1, which means it's due to the OC detection bit. The resistance of my LRA is way higher than the 4ohms load impedance required by the driver.

Can anyone help me figure out what I could do to fix this?

Thanks for any feedback!

  • Anny,

Would you happen to have the information (datasheet, or website) on the LRA?

The only time this should be triggered is if the load is less than 4 ohms (which you verified), or if there is a short between the outputs. Can you verify that the output of your setup is not shorted?

Also, can you redo the test with a LRA that you know has worked in the past (assuming you have another actuator)?

    Best Regards,
