DRV2605EVM-BT Status?

The previous question about IoS support for the DRV2605EVM-BT was not answered, so I am re-submitting the question, as I recently purchased this kit from Newark, and have not been able to get it running.

The documentation states that it will run with IoS 7 or later, but it does not. One individual couldn't get it running with IoS 9 last year, and there was no follow up after a statement that it was going to be fixed soon. It sounds like an iPhone 5 running 8.1 was able to work.

So my question is, what is the real IoS support for this App, and is there any resource assigned to get this working?

And then a follow up question is, are there any plans for Android Support of the App?

Hi Bruce,

We are still working to fix the code, and yes we have a resource assigned.
No, there is no plan to create an Android app. We have an Android driver for the DRV2625 if you are interested.

I'm also having the same problem. I've tried to run the app on two phones, a 7 Plus and a 6s, both running iOS10. The app crashes when the EVB is plugged into power. It continuously crashes when I try opening it unless I unplug the unit. Need this for a coming demonstration to a client. Has anyone had any luck?

Hi Michel,

I will contact you directly. The DRV2605EVM-BT is in the process of being discontinued. We have a pre-release application available for the newer versions of iOS. However, we will not release this to the Apple store.
In the future, we would like people to use the DRV2625EVM. This EVM has Bluetooth capability, and we have Android drivers available for app development.
