2 LRAs into the 1 DRV2605L-Q1

Hi, Team,

My customer is now evaluating DRV2605L-Q1 with LRA.

The question I would like to ask is,

  • Can 2 LRAs be into 1 DRV2605L-Q1?
    • If 2 actuators are connected to one driver, something happened on Auto calibration and etc...?

The background I'm asking this is that the customer wants to reduce the control and I2C line because there will be 4 LRAs in a system.

    Hi Koh,

    Yes, there's a potential for intereference in measuring the back EMF when connecting two LRAs on a single DRV2605L-Q1. However, we have tested this in the lab and did not encountered any issues. My theory is that both actuators are synchronized when subjected to the same output signal (assuming similar LRAs), but more tests are required to confirm this.
