DRV110 some question

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV110

Hello,

Our customer use the DRV110, have some questions.

A) about KEEP pin voltage

How much the maximum voltage of the KEEP pin after reach 100mV?

B) about CIN

It is recommended 1uF minimum for the CIN.

If the customer use the CIN less than 1uF, is there any problem with the device?

Best Regards,

Naoki Aoyama

  • Hi Aoyama-san,

Our experts have been notified and should reply soon.
  • Hello Aoyama-san,

    A) After the voltage on the KEEP pin reaches 100 mV, it drops to 0 V.

    B) By "CIN," are you referring to the capacitor on VIN? If so, you could maybe use a lower capacitor if VIN is 6-15 V. That capacitor is there to help supply the drive current for the OUT pin. The maximum drive current is +/-15 mA. If you are supplying the DRV110 with a voltage higher than 15 V and you are using an Rs resistor to limit the current into the internal zener, then I would say that CIN definitely needs to be 1 uF to supply the drive current in that setup.
  • Hello James-san,

    Thank you for your reply.
Yes. "CIN" means the capacitor on VIN.
I will feedback the customer this information.

    Thanks,
