DRV8332 , Phase B wave becomes collapsed

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8332

Hi everyone.

I use the DRV8332 for 24V/6A Motor

DRV8332 is Okay. but increasing the gain. (motor is vibrating but it is Okay. it is normal. because motor load is very heavy. now motor have noload)

Phase B wave becomes collapsed. Phase A, Phase C is Okay. Wave is Clear.

  • Hi Yangrae,

It is difficult to determine what has occurred from the video.

Can you provide images of the input and output voltages during this time?

Please examine the FAULT and OTW pins when this event occurs. Are the signals both high?
Also please examine the GVDD, VDD, and VREG voltages. Are the voltages correct?
Do you have a second board to try?
  • Thank you Mr Duncan.

    I just examine now.

    Fault, OTW.. are okay.

maybe PVDD  will be changed because of Back-EMF

VREG(3.3V), GVDD(12V) are stable. but little decrease. but it seems okay.

I control the PMSM Motor. So. RESET_A, RESET_B, RESET_C are always High. is it right?

but I just wonder the how DRV8332 controls the dead time.  current system controls inner FET using only High Side On/Off  (PWM_A,BC)

might possibly...  my program is wrong?

    Thank you!
