What are the default settings for the DRV8301 for the Over Current Function?

From the data sheet:

7.3.4.2 Undervoltage Protection (PVDD_UV and GVDD_UV)
…………..When the device is in PVDD_UV it will not respond to SPI commands and the SPI
registers will revert to their default settings.

 

Overcurrent Protection and Reporting (OCP)

            Which mode is the default?

  1. Current limit mode

  2. OC latch shut down mode

  3. Report only mode

  4. OC disabled mode

    Hi Mike,

    I hope you are looking at the most current version of the datasheet (Rev F, dated Jan 2016).

    All default settings with the exception of OC_ADJ_SET are shown in Tables 11 and 12. The (1) superscript indicates the default.

    Table 11 shows the default OCP protection mode as 00 (Current limit mode)

    Table 13 shows the default at 16 (this may be difficult to see as the number 16 is bold versus all other numbers being normal).
