DRV10983 tuning probrem

Hi everyone,

Is it possible to control the following motors with DRV10983?

Kt = 0.477 [mV/Hz] , R = 0.225[Ω],  MAX RPM =  50000

Now, I'm tuning this motor but DRV10983 can't set Kt to a value smaller than 0.92[mV/Hz].

Is there a good idea to adjust this Kt.

For example, connecting a series resistor with the UVW line of the motor.

    Adding external resistance doesn't change value of Kt, it increases phase resistance.

    What is intended input voltage for this application ? Can you also provide intended maximum speed in term of electrical Hz.

    Spinning motor at high speed will be difficult fro DRV10983, maximum PWM output frequency which can be configured is 50 kHz. DRV10983 reads current every PWM cycle and it needs multiple samples in order to read sinusoidal phase current correctly.

    Voltage : 24V
    MAX Hz : 3333Hz
    MAX RPM : 50000RPM
    Poles : 4pole pairs
    Current : 3A peak、0.6ARMS
    Kt : 0.0026Nm/A(=0.477 mV/Hz)
    Register: 0.55Ω(Line to Line)

    Now, this motor becomes overcurrent(Fault code = 0) at about 2000 RPM.

    Is it possible to turn this motor with DRV10983?

    It will be difficult to drive this motor with DRV10983, but we can still try. I see couple of places where setting can be changed,

     'Open to Close loop threshold' - why is this setting shown not applicable, what happens when you configure this register to some value,

    "Open loop Current' : Try changing this one to lower value to decrease open loop current.

    Sorry, this capture was simulate mode and actually 'Open to Close loop threshold' is maximum setting(204.8Hz).

    I tried this one.Then the motor didn't turn when "Open loop Current' was less than 1.6A.

    I also tried changing other parameters, but I will not turn the motor.

    I think that it will be difficult to drive this motor with DRV10983.
