LRA Motor(Linear Resonance Actuator) driving

Hi Experts,

I want to know why LRA motor(resonance : 170Hz) is no problem with direct PWM output(20kHz) for operation without RC filter.

Would you explain that direct PWM output from driver (CLASS D AMP) okay with LRA Motor driving ?

JH,

Our haptic drivers are Class D outputs. Yes, a Class D amp is okay to drive a LRA. The LRA acts as a low-pass filter, so the high frequency signal is filtered or averaged to a DC level based on the duty cycle of the PWM.
