DRV2700 - Driving two piezo elements

Hello Team,

I've found the same question in the following URL.

https://e2e.ti.com/support/other_analog/haptics/f/927/t/521807

Could you please advise us if DRV2700 could drive two piezo elements using each output pin to ground ?

Piezo condition
Voltage : 30Vrms (MAX)
Capacitance : 51nF
Frequency : up to 33kHz

Please also advise us anything that we need to take care.

Best Regards,

Kawai

  • Hi Kawai,

As explained in the other post, yes this configuration is possible. However, the frequency up to 33kHz is out of the range of the DRV2700. Refer to figure 9 of the datasheet to see the bandwidth with different loads and the boost set to 30V. You may be able to achieve ~10kHz.
  • Hello Kelly-san,

My apologies for my delay. Is there any TI device which could support below requirements ?

    Piezo condition
    Voltage : 30Vrms (MAX)
    Capacitance : 51nF
    Frequency : up to 33kHz

    Best Regards,
    Kawai
