DRV2700 output Triangle wave question.

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV2700

Hi Sir

we input 5V Square wave 23KHz in input side. but we got 25V Triangle wave in output side.

when we reduce frequency to 15KHz, the output wave form is normal.

May we check the condition is normal?

  • Hi Bogey,

Your post is being moved to the Haptics forum for better support.
  • Hi Bogey,

Refer to section 9.2.1.2.10 of the datasheet, particularly figure 26. Depending on your capacitance, there is a limit on how high the frequency can be increased before the DRV2700 is not able to supply enough current to charge the load. Once this slew rate limit is hit, the device will change a sine or square wave into a triangle wave because the DRV2700 is charging and discharging the load slower than the switching frequency. So this waveform is normal.
Let me know if you need more assistance.
