DRV2700 strange behavior in DC bias mode

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV2700

Hi, Colleagues!

Just faced quite strange behavior of DRV2700 bost converter.

Set-up look like this:

  • from +5V to +105 conversion
  • 4.7uH coil/3 A;
  • Output capacitor - 2 x 100n, 10R series resistor followed by  2.2uF;
  • Input capacitor - 2.2uF;

I observed feedback loop stability issues causing low frequency oscillations on output voltage up to 5Vp-p, frequency about 70(Hz). During rising edge of cycle PWM is on and running at about 300-500(kHz), during off state PWM completely off.

Are there any ideas how to handle this state and what could be the reason!

Thanks in advance and regards, Jurijs
