DRV8302: need to use a 100v system

Part Number: DRV8302
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5107

Drv8302 is limited to 60v is there a variant that will do higher voltages

iam trying to mod a 60v design to do higher voltages by changing out the mosfet. but the 8302 is a problem.

I can do a switcher to bring the 100v downto 24 but the sense voltages going into the drv8302 are still an issue. can I do a resistive divider to bring the sense voltages down to 24v?

what about the 24v vin going to internal switcher.

is there a better variation of drv802 with say external power supply  that might be best solution

  • Hi Rafe,

The DRV8302 cannot operate at 100V. What is the maximum voltage the system will see?

If you want 100V operation, you should look at other devices such as the LM5107. The LM5107 is marginal at 100V, but is good for the purpose of discussion.
