ISO5500: ISO5500 vcc2 & Ve issue

Part Number: ISO5500

Hello sir,

customer is facing the problem in ISO5500 , the issue is Vcc2 and Ve is short but IGBT is safe. why?

    Hi Manish,

    Could you please check with customer what kind of tests are conducted? What is the test setup? Please ask customer to capture waveforms of gate voltage, voltage on the DESAT pin, IGBT VCE voltage and IC?

    Dear Xiong Li, 

    In the Block diagram of ISO5500, There is voltage regulator to regulate the driver Supply. But Manish is not using any regulator at Vcc2. Manish is taking this supply from SMPS & place a zener to regulate the voltage. 

    Can we use the zener instead of voltage regulator.
