DRV8834: About unused pins of BOUT1 & 2

Hi Team,

Our customer don’t use BOUT1 & 2 pins because they use the one DC motor.

Then, I understand that they can open the unused pins(No connect).

Is my understanding incorrect?

- This configuration is allowed. Use the AENBL and APHASE to control motor A. Thank you.

I have one more question.

If they don’t use Bphase(BOUT1 & 2), they can open the “STEP/BENBL “ and “DIR/BPHASE” and “BVREF” and “BDECAY” and “BISEN” pin.

Is my understanding incorrect?

Hi Kanemaru-san,
Yes you can leave them open. For BISEN pin datasheet recommends to connect it to ground if not needed. Thanks
