DRV2700EVM: DRV2700EVM

Part Number: DRV2700EVM

Hi,

I'm using the DRV2700EVM Evaluation board and control it with the Piezo Control Console 1.2.9. When I adjust the lowest frequency (10Hz) the signal on the output (GND; out+) is deformed (with or without load on the output). With higher frequencies, the waveform looks more like a rectangular signal.

Attached the waveform:

Can anybody explain this behaviour?

Thanks

  • Hey Roman,

welcome to E2E Forum and thank you for posting your question!

If you check the DRV2700EVM User's Guide, page 25 on the schematic you will find these 2 capacitors, that are connected directly to the IN+ and IN- pins:

Now those are DC blocking capacitors, so they will block your DC input signal or act as a filter for your low frequency signal.

The easiest way for you would just be to short those 2 while running at such a low frequency, or better yet, to replace them with higher value capacitors (1uF should be enough).

    Best regards,

    Marko
